Oncology Gastro-enterology

The Surgery Department at St James’s Hospital, has a long established research program. We run a number of both investigator-led and industry centred drug trials, mostly related to oesophageal cancer. This includes a major international randomised clinical trial (Neo-AEGIS), as well as trials of preoperative fitness and conditioning, and studies on appetite and satiety in weight losing patients in survivorship.
